Study Sheets

What is the difference between study sheets and reference cards ?

Study sheets are designed to help you understand, learn, and review course material. Each sheet summarizes one topic per page using clear explanations, examples, tables, and visual reminders. They are ideal for preparing for exams and can also serve as a quick reference during clinical placements, making it more efficient than searching for information in a textbook.

Reference cards, on the other hand, are small plastic cards (credit card size) that can be carried in a uniform pocket or attached to a badge reel or lanyard. They summarize essential information in a concise and practical format. They are the perfect quick-reference tool for fast access to information during clinical placements or at work.

How are your study sheets created ?

Each study sheet is developed through a rigorous review of the literature using multiple reliable sources (textbooks, clinical practice guidelines, clinical databases, and more).

Our goal is simple: to make information clear, structured, and easy to understand so you can learn and review more effectively.

Each study sheet summarizes a single topic on one page and generally includes:

  • Definition/Description
  • Pathophysiology
  • Etiology/Risk Factors
  • Clinical Manifestations
  • Complications
  • Diagnostic Tests
  • Treatments/Nursing Care

We use real-life examples, comparison tables, and visual reminders to promote quick understanding and efficient studying.

How are your study sheets organized ?

Our study sheets are not organized by semester, as program structures vary from one school to another.

Instead, they are grouped by topic, making them easy to use regardless of the order in which you take your courses. For example:

  • Respiratory System Disorders
  • Digestive System Disorders
  • Diabetes
  • Perinatal Care
  • Laboratory Tests

This means you may encounter some respiratory conditions as early as your second semester, while others may be covered later in your program. Our study sheets were designed to support you throughout your entire nursing education, based on what you are learning at the time, regardless of your semester.

Use the search bar on our website by entering the topics covered in your course (e.g., COPD, appendicitis, postpartum hemorrhage), and you will quickly find the related study sheets.

What formats are available for the study sheets ?

We offer three formats to suit different study styles:

📄 Paper Format

The study sheets are printed on high-quality cardstock (65 lb), single-sided only, and shipped directly to your home.

This format is ideal if you enjoy working with paper, highlighting, taking notes, and having physical study materials in your hands.

💻 PDF Format (digital)

You will receive a digital file by email immediately after payment.

This format is perfect if you prefer studying on a computer or tablet.

You may choose to print the files yourself, but keep in mind that our study sheets are very colorful and require a good-quality printer and a significant amount of ink for the best results.

Please note: for logistical reasons, the download link expires after 30 days.

But don't worry! You have lifetime access to your purchase, and you can always contact us if you need your download link reactivated later.

We still recommend downloading your file as soon as possible after purchase to avoid any issues.

🔁 Paper + PDF Format

🔁 Paper + PDF Format

The best of both worlds! You receive both the digital version (immediate access) and the paper version (delivered by mail).

This allows you to study on your tablet while on the go (plane, car, coffee shop, etc.) and use the paper version at home, at school, or during clinical placements, depending on what works best for you.

Does the Study Sheets Bundle include new study sheets added after my purchase?

The Study Sheets Bundle includes all study sheets available at the time of purchase.

We are constantly developing new content, and when a new study sheet is added, it is also included in the bundle for future purchases. The bundle price is then adjusted accordingly.

🛑 If you purchased the bundle before a new study sheet was added, you do not automatically receive access to the new content.

However, we offer an exclusive 25% discount code to customers who have already purchased a bundle, allowing them to complete their collection at a reduced price.

An email containing the discount code is sent when a new study sheet is released. You can also contact us at info@supernursebusiness.com to obtain the code.

I don't live in Canada. Can your study sheets still be useful to me ?

Yes, absolutely! Although our study sheets are designed based on the Quebec nursing curriculum, nursing theory is generally universal and evidence-based. Pneumonia is still pneumonia, regardless of the country!

We also have many customers in the United States, Europe, and elsewhere, and we have received only positive feedback.

There may be slight differences in practice (for example, certain reference values or specific procedures, such as auscultation, may be reserved for physicians in some countries), but this does not prevent you from using our study sheets as a learning or review tool.

Are your study sheets up to date with current standards and guidelines ?

We make every effort to provide content that is as current, accurate, and evidence-based as possible.

Our study sheets are developed using reliable sources such as recognized nursing and medical textbooks, the Merck Manual, clinical practice guidelines, scientific studies, and platforms such as UpToDate.

That said, healthcare is constantly evolving. Although we do our best to keep our content up to date, we cannot guarantee that all information is completely accurate.

Can I use your study sheets during my clinical placements ?

Yes, absolutely ! Our study sheets are often used as quick references during clinical placements. They allow you to easily find essential information without having to search through a textbook or browse the internet.

They are particularly useful for reviewing before a procedure, refreshing your memory on a condition, or simply helping you feel more confident.

Many students keep them in their binder, or even in digital format on their phone or tablet for quick access during clinical placements.

Can your study sheets replace textbooks ?

Our study sheets are complementary tools designed to simplify and organize your studying. They allow you to review more efficiently by focusing on the essentials through a clear, visual, and easy-to-reference format.

That said, study sheets do not replace textbooks or your institution's protocols. Instead, they are designed to summarize, simplify, and reinforce the key concepts covered in class, while helping you prepare for exams and clinical practice.

However, unlike textbooks, which often take several years to be written, translated, and published, our study sheets can be updated much more quickly. We do our best to ensure they reflect the most current knowledge and best clinical practices, providing you with content that is useful, up-to-date, and relevant.

Can your study sheets help me prepare for the OIIQ exam or the NCLEX ?

Yes, our study sheets are very helpful for reviewing course material and strengthening your knowledge in preparation for the exam. They help you master the essential foundations, which is fundamental for developing strong clinical judgment, a key element for success on the OIIQ exam or the NCLEX.

That said, we recommend combining theoretical study with practice questions from review books specifically designed for these exams. The study sheets are there to help structure your understanding, while multiple-choice questions help you apply your knowledge in an exam setting.

What is the usage license for digital study sheets ? Can I share or print them ?

When you purchase a digital or physical study sheet from Super Nurse, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license.

You may:

  • Download the study sheet and use it on your personal devices (computer, tablet, phone).

I'm starting a new semester. How do I know which study sheets to choose ?

How do I choose the right study sheets for my semester?

Since program structures vary from one institution to another, it is difficult for us to recommend study sheets based solely on the courses in your semester.

Here are two ways to identify the materials that best fit your needs:

  1. Send us your course outlines and semester schedule indicating the topics that will be covered (e.g., respiratory system, asthma, pneumonia, etc.). This will allow us to guide you toward the most relevant study sheets.
  2. Use the search bar on our website and enter the specific topics you will be studying during the semester (e.g., asthma, pneumonia, urinary tract infection). This will help you quickly find the study sheets related to your coursework.

Please note: our study sheets are not organized by semester but rather by topic (e.g., respiratory system, cardiovascular system, perinatal, etc.), allowing you to use them whenever you cover each subject, regardless of your program's sequence.

As for the reference cards, they are not organized by semester. Some are related to specific specialties (such as perinatal care or mental health), but most are useful throughout your educational journey. That is why we recommend the bundles, which bring together several essential topics and support you from the beginning to the end of your training.

I am studying to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). What do you recommend?

Good news: most of our products are perfectly suited for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)! ✨

Only a few study sheets, such as those covering clinical assessment, are reserved for Registered Nurses, since this type of assessment is not part of the LPN scope of practice.

We have also created a Study Sheets Bundle specifically adapted for Licensed Practical Nurses.

🔎 As for reference cards, here are the ones we particularly recommend for your role:

  • Peripheral IV catheters and blood tests
  • Insulins and glycemia

  • Neurological assessment and stroke
  • Injection
  • Opioids
  • Vital Signs (Adult and Pediatric)
